The worst thing about loosing yourself in thought... is that you can't think your way out-

perhaps relying on truth is a more logical alternative to problem solving.

One week until christmas-

I'm loving break-- it's so good to get caught up with family! I've baby sat  nieces and nephews countless times since I've been home and have learned to love every moment ... or have at least been reminded to look at the positive side of they're energy. It's tiring to go against a kids energy but if you work with it life is so much more appeasable. Reverse psychology, extreme excitement about things that ordinarily don't require excited (like hand washing) and making games out of silly things... like who can make the funniest face or do the best hand stand--

It's like kids expect to enjoy themselves. My brother Mike's kids either seem to be laughing or crying all the time... I don't think there's an in between. They either love to do something or despise it... and while I don't really care to despise things perse or be such a roller coaster I have learned a thing or two about excitement from them. -- so once agian I must depart to my lessons... and am looking forward to being tackled!!!

Break has been such a blessing! I cleaned out my closet, in more than one ways.

Since being at the BI my perspective on life is entirely different then what I had been working up too. In my heart I want to serve God but in serving him I'm always looking for the most comfortable root when I should be looking to pour into service and not draw from it. Perhaps because I forget sometimes to fear God over man? - a constant battle but God's so good!! Sometimes I think I forget how human I really am.

On a lighter note- Thanksgiving rocked! The night before break everyone was excited about being home and they're plans- and while I was excited, I had a weird feeling in my stomach and as much as I tried to ignore it as being selfish it's persisted. I was going to miss not having Ray there-side note: Megan McGee is so good at keeping secrets!- so to make a long story short Ray ended up surprising me by spending Thanksgiving at my house. We got to go to my nieces b-day party and played clue.. never play clue with Ray. What was it 3 guesses? Ridiculous

Since Tuesday my parents have been in NY at conference and as much as i miss them I've rather enjoyed taking care of house and hanging out with Hannah. My sister is an amazing cook. Before she was married there wasn't too much to say about her in the kitchen but now.. let me tell you. We made bread bowls the other night. I put the bread together and she baked it and make the soup- they were amazing. It's so weird how things change. In highschool if we were left with the house we might have a pb&j for lunch but ordinarily stuck to cereal and what ever snack food we could find.- Bread bowls are a huge up grade

I've learned so much from my sister these past few days- she's a blessing and a half. I'm going to miss having her around after break is done and over... but that's awhile down the road and I'm learning to appreciate things I don't have control over because He has a better plan then I do.

   News:

Since the downfall of my phone....

cell phone pictures 014cell phone pictures 003

alot has happened-but I haven't been diligent in telling this 'alot'- so I'll take a shot at highlighting this past week;

Last weekend a group of us- took a trip to connecticut to do a storm meeting. I haven't been to a storm meeting in a number of years and it was great to be apart of it! It's no wonder why club guys are so pumped about these events. It was good to be in the local church scene again. You don't realize how much you miss it.- it reminded me of home a bit and made me miss listening to Pastor Rick pour his passion out all over the pulpit and watching it seep into people- I'm excited about being a part of that sort of ministry and quite excited about a future in it!

On other..lighter News: Morgan was KIDD KNAPPED!!!

Sunday Night- Kari and I got dressed up and attended the masquerade- guess who we are...

Mary-Ann and Ginger =) You'd be amazed at how many people have never watched Gilligans Island- and how many didn't know which one was Mary-ann and which one was Ginger.

We had a good time though- Kari is alot of fun! Kari's pictures 007

and this is the hobo that stole my cow! =) what a crazy chick!

It's been a fun week- in class we got to talk about dinosaurs!! I thought that Dr. Whitcomb was amazing- he's such a cute gentleman! I had a good time on monday just observing him and his wife- it's like they're content to look back at life and yet in a very cool sense they're still forward to what's to come =) What great hope there is in our Savior!!
